A step-by-step guide on how to manage and control the Temi robot via Temi Center, along with configuring its settings to optimize all features.

Login

  1. Access Website: Visit Temi Center.

  2. Scan QR Code: Open the Temi app and scan the QR code displayed on the robot.

  3. Select Robot: Choose the Temi robot to configure.

Home Screen

Choose and set up the Temi home screen layout to match your preferences and needs.

Custom Screen - Layout
  1. Select the Interface Type: For example, choose the "Custom Screen" option.

  2. Choose Layout: Decide how many buttons to display on the screen based on your needs.

  3. Assign Functions: Customize each button to perform specific tasks such as acting as a tour guide, accessing the camera, providing information, making calls for assistance, navigating to a webpage, and more.

Dynamic Mode

Dynamic Mode enhances user interaction by enabling responsive features like movement and engagement, making it suitable for dynamic environments such as events or retail.

  1. Set detection zones for Temi’s sensors.

  2. Add a greeting message, e.g., "Welcome!"

  3. Configure responses based on actions, such as following users or stopping after inactivity.

  4. Add a farewell message, e.g., "Thank you for visiting!"

Scheduler

You can program Temi to perform tasks automatically at a specific time, such as running sequences, powering on/off, or other robot functions.

  1. Create Schedule: Name the task, select the action (e.g., run sequence or power on), and set the start time and duration.

  2. Save Schedule: Review details, click "Save," and the task will appear in the active schedule list, executing at the designated time.

Map Configuration

The map feature of Temi Robots enhances navigation and allows for customized movement control in a space.

  1. Map the Area: Guide the robot through the space to create the initial map, ensuring all key areas are covered.

  2. Use Map Editor: Open the Map Editor to review and adjust the map for accuracy.

  3. Add Virtual Walls: Place virtual walls in restricted areas to prevent navigation in unwanted zones.

  4. Save and Send Map: Save the updated map and send it to the robot for navigation.

Q&A

This features allows you to customize how Temi interacts with users by enabling it to respond to specific questions.

  1. Select a Language: Choose the language you want to use for the Q&A feature on the Temi robot. Set the confidence level to control how accurately the robot will interpret the language.

  2. Customize Responses: Write tailored answers for specific questions. Responses can include speech, action sequences, app launches, URLs, or even automatic tour initiation.

  3. Testing and Updates: After adding a question and response, the system will train the robot to recognize it. Test the newly added question, update it with variations for different phrasings, and save the changes to activate the feature.

Tours

This feature allows users to choose the starting point of a tour. The robot autonomously navigates to this location

  1. Set First Location: Choose the initial stop for the tour from available map locations. Ensure that the location is free from obstacles so the robot can easily navigate there.

  2. Add Sequences: Configure actions or sequences the robot will perform while traveling between locations, enhancing the flow of the tour.

  3. Add Q&A: Set up location-specific questions and responses for the robot, ensuring interactive and informative communication during the tour.

  4. Edit Tour Screen: Customize the display interface of the tour, including text, images, or videos, and adjust the layout to match the tour’s theme. Review the screen for clarity and alignment with the tour goals.
